Did you know that a Heal the Bay speaker can visit your classroom and give a presentation...for free?!

That's right! Our trained Speakers Bureau volunteers are ready, able, and willing to visit your students to give a free educational presentation about the causes and consequences of ocean pollution.

Presentations can be geared to any age group from kindergarten through adults. We can also customize our talk to suit the special needs of any group, including health classes, community service groups, swim teams, PTAs and ecology clubs. Most of our speeches are done for groups of 15 to 100 people. The talks are usually 30 minutes to one hour, working with your schedule.

When a speaker visits your classroom, you'll receive:
An informative presentation with visual aids
 A video presentation
 Handouts and brochures
Material for homework and review (upon request)

Topics included in our presentations:
 Storm drains and urban runoff
 The sewage system
 Impacts of marine debris
 Health risks at the beach
How each individual can help keep our oceans clean

Speakers Bureau presentations support science learning according to California State Standards K-12, so request a speaker today and incorporate environmental education into your classroom curriculum!
