Adiós Texas Crossing
In November 2006, the long-awaited removal of the Texas Crossing in Malibu Creek State Park was completed by the Stream Team, opening up over one mile of quality fish habitat that was previously blocked. The time-lapse video, spanning two months, shows the amazing demolition of this concrete structure. Note: there is no audio for this video.

Stop the Mudsnail - PSA
The New Zealand mudsnails' presence in the Malibu Creek watershed poses a significant biological threat and is being closely monitored by Heal the Bay's Stream Team. This PSA video, produced in 2006 by the Malibu Creek Watershed Council and the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains, outlines steps to reduce the mudsnail's spread.

Raging Stormdrain
Get a feel for the incredible volume of urban runoff that flows untreated to the ocean through a major storm drain during a heavy rainstorm. This video shows the Pico-Kenter stormdrain in Santa Monica as it sends urban runoff straight into the bay.

Creature - PSA
Promoting Heal the Bay's Beach Report Card, this PSA video, created in 2003, depicts how even an ugly creature doesn't like poor water quality at the beach!

Frutos del Mar - PSA (Spanish)
Reaching out to our Spanish-speaking friends, this PSA video from 2002 demonstrates how Styrofoam, oil, pet waste, cigarette butts and any other trash not properly discarded can make its way through the storm drain system straight to the ocean...and end up as "Fruits of the Sea" on our dinner plate!
