Their team has brought tremendous enthusiasm towards coastal environmental stewardship and, through their community outreach and editorial, educate their millions of viewers and encourage them to participate in CCD in Southern California.
Union Bank of California
Union Bank of California has sponsored the Los Angeles County Coastal Cleanup Day event for a number of years. Their participation has ensured our ability to properly train and equip all of our captains for our 69 sites.
California Coastal Commission
The California Coastal Commission is the state coordinator for California’s participation in the International Coastal Cleanup Day. The Coastal Commission oversees and coordinates all the different counties in the state to ensure success across California for this day.
City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation
Los Angeles City Bureau of Sanitation does more than sponsor Coastal Cleanup Day. The Bureau of Sanitation also provides the much needed tools and equipment for all of our Los Angeles sites. Through the Bureau of Sanitation, services are coordinated in conjunction to Coastal Cleanup Day to be a part of our Big Help program that contributes to the large amounts of trash abatement accomplished in Los Angeles County on this day.
City of Santa Monica
The City of Santa Monica will once again sponsor Coastal Cleanup Day and Coastal Cleanup Education Day in Santa Monica. The city’s contribution allows us to bring out over 700 kids from inland title I school to Santa Monica Beach for a fun day of beach exploration and environmental stewardship.
Crystal Geyser
Many thanks to Crystal Geyser, the 2009 California Coastal Cleanup Day water provider. Thanks to the large contributions from Crystal Geyser, all of our 70 sites will have water to provide to volunteers coming to cleanup on this very fun and special day.
City of Los Angeles Office of Community Beautification
Essential to a day of cleaning under the sun, is material and tools for a job well done. The City of Los Angeles Office of Beautification will be provided for all volunteers the necessities for doing the job right! We are excited that OCB will be ensuring that volunteers at all our sites are equip to clean. Thanks to their generous donation and participation, all participants will walk away with the full experience of getting down and dirty on Coastal Cleanup Day
Subaru
Many thanks to Subaru and NBC Sky Castle Productions for the 2009 California Coastal Cleanup Day campaign and promotions! Thanks to the large contributions from Subaru, all of our 70 sites will have much publicity for volunteers to join the cleanup on this very fun and special day.
Project Aware
Thanks to the annual contributions from Project Aware, Heal the Bay, in collaboration with Dive N' Surf and Eco Dive Center, offers two unique opportunities for divers to do their part. With dive masters and underwater gear, volunteers in Santa Monica and Redondo Beach can participate in special dive cleanups scouring the ocean floor on Coastal Cleanup Day. Project Aware allows us to properly prepare and be ready for these unique cleanups year after year. Heal the Bay and all the eager diving volunteers are very grateful for their sponsorship!
