25th Anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day, the premier volunteer event focused on the marine environment in the country.

Code Red

Code Red Sites

The Code Red cleanups are specific locations in need of your special attention. There are two Code Red sites on the Dominguez Channel (Wilmington Marina and the Artesia Transit Center), two on the L.A. River (at Elysian Park and Taylor Yard) and one at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park.

Subaru Partnership

Subaru Partnership

As part of their community outreach efforts, Subaru has teamed with Heal the Bay to help spread the word about Coastal Cleanup Day. Subaru dealerships throughout Los Angeles and San Diego counties are registering participants and distributing free "Cleanup Kits." The two organizations also collaborated on a TV commercial featuring staffers Sarah Sikich and Jose Bacallao that has been airing on NBC stations.

Team One – “We’re All Lifeguards”

Team One supports Heal the Bay with “We’re All Lifeguards”, a new integrated ad campaign that targets L.A.’s highly-urbanized communities for coastal cleanup efforts.
