High school students! Join Heal the Bay's volunteer opportunity just for you...HtB Crew!
HtB Crew members are Beach Captains that assist volunteer groups at beach cleanups by educating them about urban run-off and other forms of marine pollution and ways they can make a difference—even if they don’t live near the ocean. Captains are also responsible for delivering important safety information for a safe cleanup experience.
As a member of HtB Crew, you will be an important part of the Heal the Bay team helping to make our coastal waters safe for humans and marine life. In addition, HtB Crew membership would be an excellent addition to a college application or a fun way to earn community service hours for school. In fact, volunteering for HtB Crew is literally “A Day at the Beach” as all training and volunteer activities take place right at the beach.
To volunteer for HtB Crew, please see the "How to Volunteer" sidebar on the right. A Volunteer Orientation & Training session must be attended along with the HtB Crew training. Training sessions are currently offered once per year, usually in February.
