Celebrate Earth Month with a City Nature Challenge Urban Bioblitz

Mark your calendar for May 1, 2022 and check back for more details on how you can help Heal the Bay and Safe Clean Water with a 2022 biological survey in the one of  L.A.s urban parks.

Do you like science AND long walks? Save the Date to join Heal the Bay’s Safe, Clean Water team for a park tour and bioblitz to learn more about our urban ecosystems and about one of Heal the Bay’s newest programs.

Volunteers will receive a brief onsite training on how to collect biodiversity data using a phone app and spend an hour cataloging critters for science! We’ll end with a wrap-up game and some information about how Los Angeles County’s Safe, Clean Water Program is improving our communities.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! Please have everyone register independently so we will know how many trainers are needed. We would be thrilled if you invited your friends, family, neighbors, and more!

Are there any minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No minimum age for this event, though volunteers under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
