DESCRIPTION:Join Watershed Coordinators from the Safe Clean Water Program for a tour of Santa Monica’s Sustainable Water Infrastructure Project.\nRegister ASAP \n\n\nWhat does it take for a city to become water self-sufficient? \nJoin the Heal the Bay SCWP Team for a behind-the-scenes tour of Santa Monica’s Sustainable Water Infrastructure Project (SWIP)\, a first-of-its-kind facility that helps the City of Santa Monica create a more reliable\, drought-resilient local water supply. \nDuring this exclusive tour\, you’ll learn: \n\nThe difference between local and imported water.\nHow water recycling is helping reduce dependence on imported water.\nWhy Santa Monica is investing in water self-sufficiency.\nHow projects like SWIP are helping build a more sustainable water future for our region.\n\nThis event is hosted by the Central Santa Monica Bay Watershed Coordinators for the LA County Safe\, Clean Water Program\, in collaboration with the City of Santa Monica. \nThe tour will begin and end outside the Heal the Bay Aquarium. \nRegistration is required.
