At Heal the Bay\, we believe a day at the beach should not make anyone sick\, that’s why we’re on a mission to clean up our home beach and we’re celebrating that mission right here on the sand. \nMillions of people visit the Santa Monica Pier and its beach every year. Most visitors don’t know they are swimming at the most bacteria-impacted beach in California. \nHeal the Bay has been grading this beach\, and nearly every beach in California\, for decades. Beyond just tracking the problems\, we are leading the scientific work to solve them. \nOur scientists have been out in the water collecting data to find the source of bacteria so we can stop it. Together with the City of Santa Monica\, we’re leading the Santa Monica Pier Task Force: a first-of-its-kind collaborative bringing together government agencies\, scientists\, businesses\, and community members to advance real\, lasting solutions at this beach and creating a model to spread far beyond this one beach. \nThe Bring Back the Beach Gala is a celebration of our mission and our commitment to see it through. \n\nJoin Us as a Sponsor!\nThe Bring Back the Beach Gala brings together 750+ community leaders\, scientists\, advocates\, and changemakers for an evening worthy of the mission.
