At Heal the Bay\, we believe a day at the beach should not make anyone sick\, that’s why we’re on a mission to clean up our home beach and we’re celebrating that mission right here on the sand. \nMillions of people visit the Santa Monica Pier and its beach every year. Most visitors don’t know they are swimming at the most bacteria-impacted beach in California. \nHeal the Bay has been grading this beach\, and nearly every beach in California\, for decades. Beyond just tracking the problems\, we are leading the scientific work to solve them. \nOur scientists have been out in the water collecting data to find the source of bacteria so we can stop it.
