Heal the Bay Presents The 36th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day

Trash didn’t stand a chance!  Coastal Cleanup Day 2025 made waves of impact across LA in one unforgettable day. From the mountains to the beaches, YOU showed up for your Earth, your city, and your community. 6,722 volunteers removed 19,139 pounds of trash and 610 pounds of recycling from 70 sites.

About Coastal Clean Up Day 2025

Saturday, September 20, 2025 • 9:00 am

Coastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from debris and plastic pollution. In collaboration with the California Coastal Commission and the Ocean Conservancy, Heal the Bay has proudly been the Los Angeles County Coordinator of this event for the past 36 years. This year, there are more than 70 cleanup sites throughout the county for you to choose from. Whether you want to tidy up the mountains, better your neighborhood, or spruce up the beach, we’ve got you covered!

On Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon, thousands of volunteers will help tackle Los Angeles’s marine debris crisis! Please contact ccd@healthebay.org with any questions.
