Coastal Cleanup Day 2017

September 16, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Event Navigation

Register for Coastal Cleanup Day 2017
Thousands of people will amass beaches, rivers, parks, schools and watersheds throughout the state of California (half a million in total around the planet!) on Saturday, September 16 for Coastal Cleanup Day – the world’s largest volunteer day to protect the ocean.

Coming together — a global movement comprised of local communities and organizations — we’ll make a big dent in removing trash and debris from local habitats, cities and neighborhoods.

On top of creating a cleaner environment, all of the items that volunteers pick up are recorded to raise even more awareness about our pollution challenges. At Coastal Cleanup Day 2016, it was reported that over half a million people picked up 18.3 million pounds of trash and debris in only a few hours. There’s truly power in numbers.

Eventbrite - Coastal Cleanup Day 2017

Want to save some time? Print your waiver here (en Español aqui) and bring it with you to your site. Every volunteer needs to fill one out.

Parking Info

We highly encourage carpooling, biking, or taking mass transit as daily beach permits can vary in price depending on the season and crowds and beach. Metro offers a quick and easy tool to plan your trip.

Free volunteer parking at beach and marina parking lots operated only by L.A. County Beaches and Harbors will be available. See map of lots here and parking pass can be downloaded here.

Limited parking passes will be available at Santa Monica beach lots 1N, 4S and 5S. These passes will be distributed by CCD volunteers at entrance kiosks.
