Oil Spill in Long Beach
An oil spill was reported early Monday, Nov. 8, in Long Beach when a vessel that was refueling overflowed and spilled oil into the port. The amount of oil spilled was unknown, but cleanup crews were using booms to contain the spill, and the coastguard dispatched a helicopter to fly over the spill and determine how much it had spread.
