Interested in learning more about Gabrielino-Tongva indigenous peoples?
Join us for a day of service at Kuruvungna Springs in Los Angeles, CA, and learn about the work the Gabrielino-Tongva Foundation does to preserve this Native American Heritage Site and the natural and cultural resources of this area.
At this event, you will learn about the history of the Sacred Springs and get in touch with the Earth as we work to restore the Springs.
This event is hosted by your Safe Clean Water Program Central and South Santa Monica Bay watershed coordinators from Heal the Bay, in collaboration with the Gabrielino-Tongva Foundation. Help us care for this important space and learn more about the people who have stewarded the region since time immemorial.
We will also host a food drive on our Day of Service. If you are interested in donating to this food drive, West Side Food Bank is asking for these items be donated.
Registration in advance is required and adults must agree to the terms of the waiver when registering. Minors must have a guardian complete a waiver on their behalf before the event.
