Winter Science Camp at Heal the Bay Aquarium

“Sea”-cret Agent Ocean Explorers

(Grades K-2): December 29 – January 2; (Excluding January 1)

This holiday season, at Heal the Bay’s Winter Science Camp, campers will step into the role of an oceanic secret agent on a mission to uncover the mysteries of the sea! Each day brings a new case to crack—whether it’s tracking stormwater pollution, decoding clues about marine life, or uncovering the secrets of conservation. With hands-on experiments, “undercover” field activities, and “top-secret” encounters with marine animals, campers will sharpen their observation skills and teamwork while learning about tools they can use to heal the planet like true ocean agents.

Winter Science Camp Cost

Our camp is designed for students grades K-5 as of September 2025 (or aged 5-1). Camp kits and T-shirts will be handed out to campers enrolled for several days and/or a full camp week on your camper’s final day of camp.

Price:

Full Week: $330

Daily: $85 per day

**Daily sessions are available à la carte for $85 per day or the full week for $330.

** After-camp care will be offered for Winter Science Camp, from 2 PM -3 PM, for $20 per day.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Thanks to the generosity of community partners, we have a limited number of camp scholarships available. If you need partial or full financial assistance for your child to attend camp, please fill out the application in the registration above after reading our Camp Scholarship and Eligibility Application. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT) PROGRAM

Heal the Bay’s Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program, which will run simultaneously with our 2026 Winter Science Camp, is an opportunity for students who have aged out of camp to continue to participate while also gaining valuable experience in hands-on outdoor field education, working with children, and increasing their overall ocean literacy. While at camp, CITs will experience and learn about marine life while executing some, but not all, responsibilities associated with a camp counselor position. If you would like your child to participate as a CIT for Heal the Bay’s 2026 Winter Science Camp, please see instructions below.

How to Apply:

If you would like to participate as a CIT for Heal the Bay’s 2026 Winter Science Camp, please read through and fill out the 2026 CIT Application in its entirety, and email to Robert Ramos at rramos@healthebay.org. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed or accepted. This is a rolling acceptance opportunity. Deadline is December 5.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For cancellations made prior to 2 weeks before the start of your registered camp session, the camp fee can be refunded, less a $50 administration fee. Cancellations made within 2 weeks before the start of your registered camp session are non-refundable.

Forts & Fish – The Quest for Conservation!

(Grades K-2): March 30 – April 3

This spring, brave explorers will set out on a quest to defend the ocean and uncover its hidden powers. Guided by Heal the Bay educators, campers will navigate through dynamic “realms” of science and imagination—conducting experiments, solving ocean mysteries, and taking on team challenges that test their courage and curiosity. Along the way, they’ll earn achievements for creativity, leadership, and problem-solving, all while discovering how real-world heroes protect our planet’s most powerful force: the sea.

Brave the tides, battle pollution, and become a hero for the sea!
