March 2024 Safety Talk Certification Training [Virtual + In Person]

March 25 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Make a big splash for L.A.’s Waterways! Become a certified Safety Talk Beach Captain!

Elevate your role from Beach Captain and get Safety Talk Certified! Make a bigger impact and lead the way in protecting our coastline at Heal the Bay cleanups.

Our monthly Nothin’ But Sand Cleanups are public events bring people from all over the county together to remove hundreds of pounds of trash from the Los Angeles Beaches we know and love, but we couldn’t run these awesome cleanups without the help of our amazing Beach Captains & Heal the Bay Speakers!

Our Beach Captains ensure that these monthly cleanups run smoothly and lead our volunteers in each step of the event, from registration, to filling out community service forms, handing out supplies, and educating the public on the impact each beach cleanup makes. Hundreds of pounds of trash are removed from the beaches of Los Angeles at each Nothin’ But Sand Cleanup, helping to promote safe, clean coastlines for wildlife and people alike. We could not achieve this without volunteer leaders like you.

Ready to dive in and become a Beach Captain? Volunteer Training is easy, fun, and educational a two-step process. Step 1: Attend a virtual Beach Captains Volunteer Training. Step 2: Join an in-person cleanup for on-the-sand training and fun.
